![]() ![]() There are little hints of their original music. William Ryan Key (former lead singer of Yellowcard) has joined the band for this tour. The band is committing to this “movie” theme and I am here for it! The countdown ends and New Found Glory blasts onto the stage singing “Eye of the Tiger”. It also appears this will not be anything like the “Sick Tour”. This tour is in support of their new EP From The Screen to Your Stereo 3which is a compilation of covers of songs you have seen in movies. It’s apparent that they like to go hard with a theme and I’m not mad. A popcorn machine sat to the right of the stage. ![]() New Found Glory’s set was covered in a Marquee style backdrop. New Found Glory: The Lead Up.Īfter a brief break, a countdown began “Five minutes til showtime!”, which is just plain torture. Their last song of the night was an upbeat tune called “From The Outside” which I added to my Spotify playlist as soon as I got home. ![]() They bounced around with the upbeat and more melancholy songs. Immediately, I was aware of the connection this band had with their fans. People all over were dancing and singing along word for word. I was thoroughly enjoying them, but I was getting sucked into the atmosphere. So, I was excited to see what they would bring to the stage. Real Friends was adorned on the shirts of people all over House of Blues. I had noticed straight away that there was a big presence of Real Friends fans. The song was a big hit for my fellow friends in the audience who lived on Myspace, AIM, and music. The band’s set was much more mellow while they played some fan favorites “Narrow Mouth” and 2006’s “Decoration”. My little Emo heart swelled with joy… I don’t know if that is a thing, but that’s what it felt like. This pop/punk band amped the crowd up with songs like “Daughter” and “Puncha Nazi”. Lead singer, Sydney Dolezal, does a cartwheel on stage. It’s 6:45 pm and they were playing with as much energy as any headliner I’ve ever seen. Dollskin, an all-female band, is on stage and playing. Walking in I hear the roar of a female vocalist. I have never seen The Early November live. I had not heard of Dollskin and Real Friends. Three bands are set to open the show and I am excited to see what Dollskin, The Early November, and Real Friends have to offer. I was given a seven-song tour sampler from New Found Glory (for free)! The first song listed is “Puzzles”. I made my way to the merch table and grabbed a shirt to commemorate the show. Although, to my surprise, entry was pretty easy. Of course, I expected a bit of chaos due to the holiday weekend. The doors opened at six pm, which excited me because I love an early set. New Found Glory brought their “From The Screen To Your Stereo To Your Town” Tour to House of Blues Las Vegas Friday, July 5 th, 2019. ![]()
